Genesis - Basic Educational Group
Purpose: Raise awareness of chemical abuse/dependency to assist Clients in taking responsibility for their own alcohol and drug behaviors. Weekly Meetings Available

Choices -Educational Discussion Group
Purpose: Increase understanding and identification of client alcohol and drug related issues. To motivate those clients who are acknowledging their issues and contemplating change. Morning & Evening Meetings Available

Action/Relapse Prevention Group -Advanced Educational Discussion Group
Purpose: Education and Support group for clients who are committed to sobriety and have been clean and sober for at least 2 months. Clients must make an 8-week commitment to the group. Weekly

Women's Recovery Group - Ongoing Weekly Group
Purpose: Support women who have made a commitment to maintaining a clean and sober lifestyle. Group focuses on topics that are specific to women's issues. Clients must make an 8-week commitment to the group.

SAMI - Ongoing Weekly Group
Purpose: Provide support and encouragement to those clients with Substance Abuse and Mental Illness. Clients are provided a safe environment in which they are encouraged to address daily physical, social and emotional stressors they encounter in an effort to maintain a clean and sober life style in conjunction with the management of their mental illness. Monday 11:30 - 1:00 p.m.

Anger Management - Educational and Skill Building Group
Purpose: Provide education and training in anger management techniques, and healthy ways to deal with conflict. Group focuses on understanding the emotion of anger, and the impact of their behavior on themselves and others. Clients must make a 10-week minimum commitment to the group. Monday - 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.

Individual, Couples, & Family Counseling
Purpose: Provide chemical dependency counseling to increase understanding and responsibility surrounding behavioral choices related to substance abuse. Addressing individualized needs, which include but are not limited to parenting, relationships, employment, education, life skills, boundaries, etc.

Case Management and Community Support Program
Purpose: Assist individuals with utilizing strengths and resources to acquire necessary skills and services to increase independence. Supports needs of consumers.

Motivational Interviewing Treatment Approach
Purpose: assists the participants in increasing their awareness of the problem and the solution. Participants of Motivational Interviewing initiate talk of behavioral change and come up with their own solutions. Motivational Interviewing reinforces preparation to change, action, and maintenance of behavioral change. This approach has proven successful in working with a variety of populations who present a range of issues in the clinical arena in particular substance abuse and addiction. Motivational Interviewing is the treatment approach used in services provided by Athens Outpatient.

Provide evaluation/treatment for Problem Gambling.
Assessment services available with group education as applicable.
